These little Swedish children are busy making pepparkakor (gingersnaps), a traditional favorite at Christmas time. The ginger cookie dough is rolled out with a rolling pin. Heart and Dala Horse shaped cookie cutters are used to cut cookies for baking.
The legend in Old Sweden is that you are to make a wish and break a cookie in the palm of your hand. If it breaks into three pieces, your wish will come true
