Long ago a Swedish farmer died, leaving all his possessions to his three sons.  The eldest inherited the farm, a sturdy workhorse, and a plow.  The middle son received a fine riding horse.  But Per, the youngest son, got only a handsomely carved and painted Dala horse.  While the older brothers laughed, Per guessed that one day the magnificient Dala horse would be worth it's weight in gold
