Signe, dressed in her Norwegian festbunad from Hallingdal, is busy making "krumkake" or "crumb cake".  Baked on a special iron, this cardamon flavored cookie is rolled on a wooden cone while warm.  Krumkake is delicate and breaks easily, thus the name "crumb cake"
